about me

My name

Hey everyone! Welcome back to Da Normal Blog. Today I wanted to talk about my name. Many people call me Tony wich is actually a nickname. My real name is Anthony!

Many people are very suprised when they figure out my real name is Anthony. I like both Tony and Anthony but I think Tony is less words to write, and its easier to pronounce. I got my name because the name ,”Anthony,” Is used a bunch in my family tree. so my parents chose that.  According to some sources, the name Anthony means“priceless one” or “highly praiseworthy,” but others contend that its original meaning is unknown. … Anthony of Padua, also made the name famous. Origin: The name Anthony comes from the Roman family name Antonius.

Windows 11 IS COMING OUT!!!

Hey, everyone welcome back to Da Normal Blog! Today I’m going to be telling you guys about Windows 11. Since July 29, 2015, most people have been using Windows 10 for many of their daily tasks online. Now the newest windows Os is estimated to be coming out on October 5th, 2021! But is it really worth the switching? Back in 2015 when Windows 10 came out lots of people still used Windows 7. But why? According to a survey on Jan 8th, 2021, “30% of people said they don’t want to pay to upgrade,  A further 22% said they found Windows 7 easier to use, and 16% said that Windows 10 would not work on their device.” So basically most people stayed with windows 7 even though the newest OS is out. Another thing is that on the windows 10 release, there were problems with the os because it was in development.  But this time if you have windows 10 you can get windows 11 for free, as an update. But now Microsoft has changed the minimum ram you can have from 2GB to 4GB so older systems can not have windows 11. Microsoft also said that this os is best for gaming. They also said that for windows vista which was a failure. You could switch to windows 11 to check it out then go back to windows 10 if you would like. Another thing is that when windows 10 came out they stopped updating windows 7.  They are also gonna stop updating windows 10 in 2025. There are so many other things we could talk about but that is for another blog. So is it really a good choice to switch to windows 11? That is up to you to decide.

How to fix Error code”BCD” or No Boot Device Detected on a Desktop

Hey, guys welcome back to Da Normal blog today I’m going to help you fix A no boot device detected on a Desktop.

The first thing we are going to try is listing for a beep or clicking sound if you have a HDD. Go to your computer and turn it on, if possible take off the side panel and listen for beeps or clicks. It may be hard to hear so put your ear towards something that may look like that.

How to Open / Take Apart a Western Digital Elements Hard Drive Case – ICESQUARE – Solve Computer Server Problems, Computer Help, Server Support, Server Help

Normally it should sound smooth and hear something moving around inside. But if it does not then you have a broken HDD. You will either have to get a new one and get the os, but you will lose all your data. But if you don’t want to do that you could go to a computer shop and ask them to fix it for you.

The second thing we are going to try is for people with SSD or HDD. Sometimes the when you don’t shut down your computer correctly or there’s a sudden loss of power the computer gets corrupted by faulty os (windows, Mac, Linux) and makes it so it’s unbootable. What you have to do is buy a new os and install it on your computer. Note: it may or may not have your files on it.

The third thing we are gonna look at is the cords connecting to the HDD or SSD. These cords are called the SATA cord and SATA power cord. make sure each is plugged into the HDD all the way and the motherboard. Unplug them to look for burnt or missing pins. Somethings could go faulty over time and need to be replaced. If the SATA power cord is broken or faulty you will have to plug in another power cord or buy a new power supply.

Another thing that could be wrong is that the motherboard is faulty, broken, or has a virus on it. In that case, you will have to replace it or troubleshoot it.

The last few things that could be wrong, is that you have a virus on your computer that has corrupted your files and made them unbootable in that case you need to buy a new hdd or ssd  and you will have none of your files, or you can buy an anti-malware USB or disc to clean up your computer. You could also troubleshoot.

The last possible thing that could be wrong is that you did not set the bios to boot from the HDD or SSD. To change that you have to go to setup utility or the motherboard settings.

12th generation intel cpu’s vs the Amd 5000 series chips

Hey, guys welcome back to Da normal blog! In this post, I’m going to do a comparison of the AMD 5000 series and the 12th gen intel chips named, “Alder Lake” and compare them to see wich one is the best, Amd Or Intel! I will be focusing on the 5600x,5800x, and 5900x AMD chips and the i5, i7, i9 Intel chips. Let’s get started! Let’s do a comparison of the specs first

Right upfront, we got the Ryzen 5900x and the i9 12900k.  The Ryzen 5900x has 12 cores and 24 threads and it can go up to 4.8ghz without overclocking it. The i9 has 16 cores, 24 threads, and boosts up to 5.3ghz without being overclocked. As you can tell the i9 has better specs so the winner for this round is definitely the i9!

Next up we got the Ryzen 7 5800x, which starts with 8 cores and 16 threads and boosts up to 4.7ghz without being overclocked. Then we got the i7, which has 12 cores and 20 threads and boosts up to 4.7-5 GHz without being overclocked. So once again intel wins this round.

And finally, we have the Ryzen 5600x with a good 6 cores and 12 threads and boosts up to 4.6ghz without being overclocked. And for the last intel chip, we got the intel i5 that has 10 cores and 16 threads and boosts up to a whopping 4.9ghz! So once again intel wins over AMD in all three rounds! The best buy would be the intel chips endless and comes out with new chips. These new intel chips have unknown prices so we will have to wait to see what those are.

MSI Afterburner review

See the source image

Hey, Guys welcome back Da Normal Blog today I’m doing a review on MSI After Burner!

MSI Afterburner is a software application developed by MSI. It‘s software that allows you to monitor and overclock your GPU. Wich is very handy for crypto miners and gamers.   You can view information of your graphics hardware, or adjust the settings of your GPU, such as GPU clock speed, GPU voltage, memory clock speed, fan speed, and more. I personally use this software to test my computers out and Overclock my GPU! This app Is very easy to use and works %100. The best part is it’s free! I would give it a 5-star review.

How to build your own Gaming computer in 2021!

Hey everyone welcome back to Da Normal Blog! Today I’m going to help you build your own gaming computer, let’s get right into it.

The basic parts

Cpu:  A Central Processing Unit, or CPU, is a piece of hardware that enables your computer to interact with all of the applications and programs installed. A CPU takes the program’s instructions and creates the output that you use with when your computer is on.

Ram:  Computer random access memory (RAM) is one of the most important components in determining your system’s performance. RAM gives applications a place to store and access data in a short time. It stores the information your computer is actively using so that it can be accessed quickly or faster then when you are first opening it.

Motherboard: A motherboard is the main printed circuit board (PCB) in a computer. The motherboard is the part that holds all the parts or has all the wires going into.

SSD or HDD: SSDs or HDDs work alongside your system’s memory and processor to access and use data. It also holds all of your data, and has your os on it.

Os: Operating system (OS), program that manages a computer’s resources, especially the allocation of those resources among other programs.  (Windows 10, Mac, Linux)

Atx Case:  An ATX computer case is a PC case that complies with the ATX (Advanced Technology Extended) computer tower specifications. It holds all your parts and keeps everything cool.

Power supply: Specifically, a power supply converts the alternating high voltage current (AC) into direct current (DC), and they also regulate the DC output voltage to the fine tolerances required for modern computing components.

Heat sink: A heat sink is a component that increases the heat flow away from a hot device. It accomplishes this task by increasing the device’s working surface area and the amount of low-temperature fluid that moves across its enlarged surface area.

GPU: The graphics processing unit (GPU), also called graphics card or video card, is a specialized electronic circuit that accelerates the creation and rendering of images, video, and animations. It performs fast math calculations while freeing the CPU to perform other tasks. Basically the better the Gpu the better smoothness and graphics for games

Now you know what every part does in a computer! Note: There are add-on parts that you can add on later. Now you know what you need, but now it all comes down to how much your wallet is gonna be. Gaming computers are super expensive. So you gotta know how much your gonna spend. You can get used parts or brand new parts. Decent computers are around $800 endless you get used parts or get very good deals on them. Here are price points for different kinds of people.

What is your price point?

The ultimate gamer: $9000+ The best parts on the market basically

The casual gamer, $800-$2000+ You like to play some casual games and don’t want to play at 8k at 500fps

The I sometimes play games: $500-$800 You sometimes play some games in your free time but you don’t always use your computer for gaming

The Budget gamer is $500 or below You don’t have money so you need to get used parts.

Note: You also got to consider how much your monitor, keyboard, mouse, and any other thing you want to add to your computer.

Where to buy

You may not fit under any of those kinda people, so don’t worry we can figure it out on the way.

The Apple Glasses

Hey Everyone welcome back to Da normal blog. Today I’m going to be talking about the Apple glasses ( Features, estimated price,  and release date) because according to my poll, 80% of the people that took the poll wanted me to write about tech. So here we are. Anyways Let’s get right into it! Here is the link if you still want to take that poll

Starting with the features, According to a Bloomberg report, the Apple AR Glasses will bring information from your phone to your face.  “its expected to synchronize with a wearer’s iPhone to display things such as texts, emails, maps, and games over the user’s field of vision.” So basically if a text message or a phone call shows up, you can read it on the apple glasses. You could also play games on them too!

Design

There haven’t been leaked photos of the actual design, but it is rumored that Apple wants these glasses to look fashionable and approachable so people will like it.

Processing Capabilities and Battery Life

Wireless signals, smart displays, microphones, powerful processors, and LiDAR add up to a device in need of a big battery.

Privacy

Apple does not plan on including a camera in “Apple Glass”  because that’s just weird. According to Jon Prosser, “Apple will only have sensors like LiDAR on the frame, which allows for environmental awareness and gestures without encroaching on others’ privacy.”

Release date and pricing

Release date: 2022-2024

According to MacRumors, ” The apple glasses will start at a price of $499!
