Guest Blog Beau Featherston

Hey I am Beau and I am guest blogging for Tony, Tony told me that he writes about computers so that is what I am going to talk about today Let’s go. So first off I don’t really know computers that much but I do know about graphic cards. So first off graphic cards hence the name make the graphics look better. It will make your game look better with 60 hertz or 120. Raytracing or anything else. Now, why should you spend money to get a graphics card? Now I think it’s pretty easy to answer that because your Nintendo switch is not going to have raytracing and 60 fps. Honestly, That is all I have to say so goodbye and thank you tony for letting me guest blog.      Amazon.com: NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition : Electronics if you want to buy the graphics card you can buy it here  or some other one

Middle school Thoughts

Hey everyone welcome back To Da Normal Blog, today I’m going to talk about my middle school thoughts.  Pretty much I’m gonna give you the pros and cons.

Pros: More food choices

I get to choose my own pathway

I’m  not goth

I’m not gay…

I have many friends

Cons: The food is bad

there are too many goth kids

There are random 7th graders throwing forks at me and my friends at lunch

7th grade

lockers

changing in the locker room

chrome books

mac’s

pencils disappearing magically

walking into a silent class

vibing in a silent class

Kids looking at you while there daydreaming

Kids flexing their new iPhone 12+ pro max when your parents won’t give you a phone in the first place

That’s pretty much some of my thoughts on middle school. If you want me to make more blog posts like this make sure to comment below on what I should write about.

My favorite fictinal character

Hey everyone welcome back to Da normal Blog. On this blog I have to tell you about my favorite fictional character wich is Pico. Pico is from a variety of games. The first time he showed up in was Pico’s School 1999 by Newgrounds.  Ill leave the link for that down below. He also shows up is these:

Games

Movies

Please note that I have never played any of these games besides Pico’s school And Friday Night Funkin so be advised that there may be swearing and other stuff. Also Pico’s school has some swearing and stuff.

Anyways I like Pico cause, I think he’s kinda funny how he acts in the games, and he has a good voice in Friday night funkin, wich is kinda like a rap battling game but theres no words. You will have to try it out to know what Im talking about.

Picos descritpion from Newgrounds

“Pico is a young man with light skin, ginger hair, beige pants, a green shirt with darker green sleves and red shoes with orange marks. He has white sclera with no pupils as a stylistic choice used throughout his series. He is an exceptional gunman and is usually seen dual wielding his weaponry. He also has tremendous skill in unarmed combat, seen in media such as Newgrounds Rumble and Pico’s Unloaded. His weapons of choice are automatic weapons such as the MAC-10, UZI or the M16 Assault Rifle. Pico is also hot-headed, often acting out in aggression.”

So Ya thats pretty much it!

Top 5 things to mess up on when Building a Computer

Hey everyone welcome back to Da Normal Blog! In this blog, I’m going to talk about the top 5 things that a lot of people mess up on when building a computer.

  1. Wrong type of cpu socket

A lot of people order there full computer setup with all the things they need but they dont realize that there are diffrent sockets on cpus. Intel uses lga while AMD use “am”. For example the newest socket for Amd is Am4. For intel is lga 1200. When your are buying a motherboard make sure to match the right cpu with the right socket.

2.  Wrong type of ram

Another thing tha people do wrong is ordering the wrong kind of ram. There is ddr, ddr2, ddr3,ddr4, and soon coming ddr5. These are basically the socket type but a little bit more then that. So when you are buying a motherboard make sure it matches the motherboard ram type.

3. Instaling thermal paste on to a cpu

I have seen lots of people put thermal paste on to cpu’s wrong a lot. I have seen people do it under the cpu, on the socket and putting a huge amount of it on. What you are supposed to do is put a small dot of it on the middle of the cpu. Then put the cpu cooler on.

4. Wrong motherboard form factor

There have been people out there that dont realize that theres diffrent form factors of cases and motherboards, and have gotten incompatible cases or motherboards. There are many diffrent form factors of motherboards and case, such as. (Biggest) Hptx, ssi eeb, xl-atx, atx, e- atx, micro atx, mini itx, Nana itx, pico- itx. (smallest)  You must make sure that the type of motherboard will fit in the case.

5. Not having an os

I have made this mistake before when building a computer. I never got windows 10, and so I thought something was wrong with my 4tb hdd so I opend it up and screwed it. Make sure never to open up a hdd, and make sure to buy an os or the computer is usless to you.

My name

Hey everyone! Welcome back to Da Normal Blog. Today I wanted to talk about my name. Many people call me Tony wich is actually a nickname. My real name is Anthony!

Many people are very suprised when they figure out my real name is Anthony. I like both Tony and Anthony but I think Tony is less words to write, and its easier to pronounce. I got my name because the name ,”Anthony,” Is used a bunch in my family tree. so my parents chose that.  According to some sources, the name Anthony means“priceless one” or “highly praiseworthy,” but others contend that its original meaning is unknown. … Anthony of Padua, also made the name famous. Origin: The name Anthony comes from the Roman family name Antonius.

Windows 11 IS COMING OUT!!!

Hey, everyone welcome back to Da Normal Blog! Today I’m going to be telling you guys about Windows 11. Since July 29, 2015, most people have been using Windows 10 for many of their daily tasks online. Now the newest windows Os is estimated to be coming out on October 5th, 2021! But is it really worth the switching? Back in 2015 when Windows 10 came out lots of people still used Windows 7. But why? According to a survey on Jan 8th, 2021, “30% of people said they don’t want to pay to upgrade,  A further 22% said they found Windows 7 easier to use, and 16% said that Windows 10 would not work on their device.” So basically most people stayed with windows 7 even though the newest OS is out. Another thing is that on the windows 10 release, there were problems with the os because it was in development.  But this time if you have windows 10 you can get windows 11 for free, as an update. But now Microsoft has changed the minimum ram you can have from 2GB to 4GB so older systems can not have windows 11. Microsoft also said that this os is best for gaming. They also said that for windows vista which was a failure. You could switch to windows 11 to check it out then go back to windows 10 if you would like. Another thing is that when windows 10 came out they stopped updating windows 7.  They are also gonna stop updating windows 10 in 2025. There are so many other things we could talk about but that is for another blog. So is it really a good choice to switch to windows 11? That is up to you to decide.

How to fix Error code”BCD” or No Boot Device Detected on a Desktop

Hey, guys welcome back to Da Normal blog today I’m going to help you fix A no boot device detected on a Desktop.

The first thing we are going to try is listing for a beep or clicking sound if you have a HDD. Go to your computer and turn it on, if possible take off the side panel and listen for beeps or clicks. It may be hard to hear so put your ear towards something that may look like that.

Normally it should sound smooth and hear something moving around inside. But if it does not then you have a broken HDD. You will either have to get a new one and get the os, but you will lose all your data. But if you don’t want to do that you could go to a computer shop and ask them to fix it for you.

The second thing we are going to try is for people with SSD or HDD. Sometimes the when you don’t shut down your computer correctly or there’s a sudden loss of power the computer gets corrupted by faulty os (windows, Mac, Linux) and makes it so it’s unbootable. What you have to do is buy a new os and install it on your computer. Note: it may or may not have your files on it.

The third thing we are gonna look at is the cords connecting to the HDD or SSD. These cords are called the SATA cord and SATA power cord. make sure each is plugged into the HDD all the way and the motherboard. Unplug them to look for burnt or missing pins. Somethings could go faulty over time and need to be replaced. If the SATA power cord is broken or faulty you will have to plug in another power cord or buy a new power supply.

Another thing that could be wrong is that the motherboard is faulty, broken, or has a virus on it. In that case, you will have to replace it or troubleshoot it.

The last few things that could be wrong, is that you have a virus on your computer that has corrupted your files and made them unbootable in that case you need to buy a new hdd or ssd  and you will have none of your files, or you can buy an anti-malware USB or disc to clean up your computer. You could also troubleshoot.

The last possible thing that could be wrong is that you did not set the bios to boot from the HDD or SSD. To change that you have to go to setup utility or the motherboard settings.

12th generation intel cpu’s vs the Amd 5000 series chips

Hey, guys welcome back to Da normal blog! In this post, I’m going to do a comparison of the AMD 5000 series and the 12th gen intel chips named, “Alder Lake” and compare them to see wich one is the best, Amd Or Intel! I will be focusing on the 5600x,5800x, and 5900x AMD chips and the i5, i7, i9 Intel chips. Let’s get started! Let’s do a comparison of the specs first

Right upfront, we got the Ryzen 5900x and the i9 12900k.  The Ryzen 5900x has 12 cores and 24 threads and it can go up to 4.8ghz without overclocking it. The i9 has 16 cores, 24 threads, and boosts up to 5.3ghz without being overclocked. As you can tell the i9 has better specs so the winner for this round is definitely the i9!

Next up we got the Ryzen 7 5800x, which starts with 8 cores and 16 threads and boosts up to 4.7ghz without being overclocked. Then we got the i7, which has 12 cores and 20 threads and boosts up to 4.7-5 GHz without being overclocked. So once again intel wins this round.

And finally, we have the Ryzen 5600x with a good 6 cores and 12 threads and boosts up to 4.6ghz without being overclocked. And for the last intel chip, we got the intel i5 that has 10 cores and 16 threads and boosts up to a whopping 4.9ghz! So once again intel wins over AMD in all three rounds! The best buy would be the intel chips endless and comes out with new chips. These new intel chips have unknown prices so we will have to wait to see what those are.

Thank you guys for reading and I hope this helped you out!
